At first glance, we are just more people trying to convince you to jump into the thrilling world of birdwatching. And guess what? You are correct! Many great things come with birdwatching ; exercise, socializing (but also solitude – we can explain later), nature appreciation, new skills and knowledge. And, we would love for you to be a part of all that!

Ok, yes, there are many people are out there writing about birds, of course. So, why stick around here at all? Do us a favor and hear us out. My husband likes to say, “McDonalds (1955) did not see Whataburger (1950) and thought, aww, poor me. I am not going to sell burgers. Whataburger is already doing it. Let me see myself out the door”.

Just like burgers, there are different appeals to different people. We write optimistically, that to some people, we may be that appeal. We dream to ignite a spark that will inspire people to finally take the first step outdoors and begin their journey in nature.
